Valentines Day Cards

A few of the finished cards

One of my favorite parts about any holiday has to be the CARDS! I love making cards and seeing the joy that they bring to my friends and family. Cards are just a little reminder of that warm feeling that only love can bring. I try to make cards for at least a few people every holiday, and here's the design I settled on for this Valentines Day.

What should I write on this one?

I found this fun rubber stamp at Michaels while shopping with my mom. Michaels has always been a usual destination for us as we are both very crafty and enjoy finding good deals! The ink I used can also be found at Michaels (as well has half of the things I own...) The blank cards themselves came from Target from the discount section (where the other half of the things I own come from!)

Valentines Day doesn't mean much to me, I am single and I'm not really eating candy these days, but I do really like the idea of giving love. Thats what the holiday is supposed to be about... right?

The setup

Sometimes people see Valentines Day as just a way to buy chocolate or they see it as a day to celebrate love. I am currently in the latter, but in the past I was definitely more on the chocolate side! I am currently very conscious of food and the thought of eating chocolate or baked goods is a little scary to me (OK, maybe more than a little scary... a little terrifying...)

I guess one of the perks of being single is that I don't need to worry about a box of chocolates waiting for me! Ha - instead I can just enjoy Valentines Day for the love that it brings!
